Summary:
Autism has always been a common problem in our growing society. Scientists have never really found away to stop it, except for now. They have concluded that autism is caused by a defect with two specific proteins in the digestive system: gluten and casein which are two of the most common proteins in food. They are found in basic, everyday food that contain dairy and wheat products. But, scientists clinically proved that the enzyme complex DDP-IV helps to solely break down the gluten and casein, causing less damage to the digestive system. Many parents believed there was no way out for their child's autism, but now that has been disproved! The results were outstanding with this new improvement; one result was an increase in eye contact for autistic children who were on DDP-IV. The '3-in-1 Digestive Formula' went from being tested in the labs, straight to being sold right from Amazon today.
Connection:
Enzymes were part of the chapter four and chapter nine lessons. In those lessons, we learned about how enzymes are proteins that speed up chemical reactions by lowering the activation energy. In this case, for the autistic children, the DDP-IV enzyme complex breaks down the gluten and casein which can help them have a healthier digestive system. In class, we proved how enzymes create different chemical reactions with different variables. The experiment was exactly what is happening to help cure children with autism. We learned how different enzymes can produce different chemical reactions, and they either synthesize or decompose. In this case, the DDP-IV enzyme is used to decompose the harmful components in the digestive system of an autistic child.
Will this completely "stop" autism, or will it just make the autism less severe?
ReplyDeleteAfter much research for this question, I have concluded that this will only cause autism to be less severe. In one case, it has stopped maldigestion, and also decreased behavioral issues but did not fully stop them. There are many negative effects with these enzymes as well. Some can create a peptide in which creates an indigestion for wheat and dairy. They can also try to mimic endorphins causing major changes in mood, behavior and perception. Overall, these enzymes will help to decrease the effects of autism, but because it is so hard to eliminate all factors, it will not completely stop the effects of autism.
